From kitsch to minimal, useful to useless, from genuine hand-made crafts to applied art masterpieces and design books, Horánszky utca’s Müüska Bazaar stocks a diverse range of pieces by local contemporary artists including paintings, paper and wood-based street art, digital prints and more. Thanks to these talented artists, the local design scene is blossoming. As part of their Art for Lunch series, which takes place on certain Sundays (after tipsy Saturday nights), they await you at APA Cuka with a great lunch, a pleasant chat plus an auction. The latest Art for Lunch features three limited edition canvas prints by Zsófi Fenyvesi (a.k.a Miss Margrin) which will be up for auction, and there will also be a raffle with great prizes, courtesy of Müüska.
There will be an exhibit showcasing the work of those artists who will be taking part in the upcoming Art For Lunch auctions. (Anna Korolovszky, Blik, Csaba Fekete, Drez, Emese Gulyás, József Riez, Nikon One, Zsófi Fenyvesi). The official opening will be on February 18th from 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. with food and refreshments, and music provided by DJ Shuriken.
Upcoming Art For Lunch auction – February 28
1. 13:30: FILM: A selection of short films by MOME students (Bádogváros will also be shown, which won the award for best documentary film at the 41st annual Hungarian film awards.)
2. 14:30-15:45: DISCUSSION: Bakács Tibor Settenkedő will be conversing with a surprise guest about the "The factors that shape the taste of the younger generatioin then and now".
3. 16:00: AUCTION of Zsófi Fenyvesi's (aka Miss Margrin) Monkey series.
4. 16:30: RAFFLE of items from muuska bazaar
5. OTHER PROGRAMS: During the entire afternoon from 13:00 - 17:00 Ágnes Szabó's and Beata G. Szabo's showrooms will be open to the public for all to experience first hand the atmosphere and mood of crafting by hand
